Build the hills, tunnels and town setting for a 4 × 8-foot HO layout with Woodland Scenics ST1483 Grand Valley. This kit supplies the terrain and scenery materials, from the foam base and inclines to rocks, roads, trees and ground cover.

Sold in the U.S. only. Assembly and scenery work are required. Track, trains, buildings and power equipment are sold separately; the finished scene on the box shows a separate building set.

What comes in the scenery kit?

• Printed foam base panels, profile boards and foam sheets.
• Foam risers and incline and decline components.
• Plaster Cloth, rock molds and Lightweight Hydrocal.
• Track-Bed rolls and cut-stone tunnel portals.
• Road-making materials, scenery pigments, tree armatures, turf, foliage, ballast and talus.
• Scenery adhesives, applicators and instructions.

The layout measures 4 × 8 feet, approximately 1.22 × 2.44 meters. Its completed terrain needs no plywood base or additional structural support.

Grand Valley scenery or Grand Valley track?

Choose ST1483 when you need the landscape. The separate Atlas 589 track pack supplies the track components for the planned route. Budget for both parts of the project if you are starting from scratch.

Before you order

Are the trains and buildings on the box included?

No. The train, track, structures and power equipment are separate. The buildings shown in the completed scene come from an additional building set.

Can I use a different brand of HO track?

You can adapt the landscape, but different track lengths and turnout geometry may change the route and the position of its supports and inclines. Work out the track plan before fixing the terrain.

When should I test the train?

Test it as you assemble the track and inclines, and again before closing the tunnels or adding ballast. Use the locomotive and cars you intend to run so you can check their clearance and climbing performance.
