Jada Fast & Furious Diecast Buying Guide: Cars, Scales and Editions

Start with the car you recognize, choose a scale, then check the exact edition. That order makes shopping for Jada Fast & Furious diecast much easier. Brian’s silver-and-blue Skyline R34 is not the same vehicle as his silver GT-R R35; a two-car anniversary pack is not an expensive single; and a character’s name in a title does not automatically include a figure.
At Muncle Mikes, we recommend choosing your first model around a favorite vehicle or film rather than trying to complete the entire franchise at once. Here are specific catalog options and the decisions each one solves.

Choose your starting car
| What you want | Model to compare | What you receive |
|---|---|---|
| Brian’s silver-and-blue Skyline | R34 anniversary release, 97158-25TH | One 1:24 Skyline |
| Brian and Suki together | Skyline R34 and S2000, 37543 | Two 1:24 cars |
| A black classic Charger | 1970 Charger R/T, 35729 | One matte-black 1:24 car; 2009 film association |
| A smaller modern performance car | Blue McLaren MP4-12C, 35695 | One 1:32 Furious 7 car |
| An off-road subject | Letty’s Rally Fighter, 98297 | One 1:24 vehicle from The Fate of the Furious |
1:24 or 1:32: choose for the shelf you have
For the same vehicle reproduced to scale, 1:24 is larger than 1:32. Actual lengths still depend on the subject and the particular model. The linked 1:32 McLaren is listed at approximately 5 inches long; the 1:24 Charger at approximately 8.5 inches.
Choose 1:24 when the car will be an individual display piece and you want more physical room to appreciate the model. Consider 1:32 for a smaller row of several favorites. Neither scale guarantees that every hood or trunk opens: the McLaren listing identifies opening doors, while the Charger lists opening hood, doors and trunk.
For a proportional display, stay with one scale initially. Our Jada size guide explains how to compare scales, Nano miniatures and package dimensions.
Brian’s Skyline: a single or the Suki two-pack?
The 97158-25TH Skyline is the direct choice when you only want the R34. The 37543 anniversary pack includes a silver metallic R34 with blue stripes and Suki’s pink Honda S2000 with graphics. It supplies the pair, not a random selection of one car.
The two-pack is worth considering when both cars belong in your collection or you are choosing a coordinated gift. Compare its current total with the individual products you would otherwise buy; do not assume every multipack is automatically cheaper. Read our Brian’s Skyline and GT-R comparison before selecting a version.
Dom’s cars: read beyond the character name
Dom-associated vehicles in the catalog include more than Chargers. The copper Plymouth Road Runner, 97126, and black Challenger SRT8, 97384, are different cars, not alternate names for the Charger R/T.
Even within the Charger family, the matte-black 2009-associated release and the black Fast X release have different item numbers. Our Dom’s Charger guide keeps their film associations, finishes and scales separate.
Anniversary, Remix and standard releases
Edition wording helps identify the intended product, but does not establish a production quantity, resale premium or new tooling. Match the item number, paint scheme and package description. Several listings state that box artwork can vary without changing the model.
A Remix release also deserves a closer look when you are trying to match a familiar screen appearance. The black Jetta Remix, 35628, and white S2000 Remix, 35629, are their own listed finishes. Do not substitute them for a differently colored car solely because the vehicle name matches.
A collection plan that avoids duplicate purchases
Choose one rule: a favorite character, a specific film, one scale, or contrasting vehicles you enjoy. For example, a Skyline and Charger create an import-and-muscle pairing; the Brian-and-Suki two-pack provides a ready-made two-car starting point. These are shopping suggestions, not new bundles or claims that separate products ship as one set.
Before checkout, confirm the scale, item number, quantity and available space. These linked diecast models are ready-built collectibles, not Muncle Mikes DIY kits. For a present, our Jada gift guide organizes more choices by interest.
