Maisto Harley-Davidson Sets: Series 42, 43, 44 and 45 Compared

Six Maisto Harley-Davidson Series 44 motorcycles in individual 1:18 window boxes

Choose a Maisto Harley-Davidson set by the six motorcycles inside, not simply the highest series number. Series 42, 43, 44 and 45 are all six-model 1:18 offers in our catalog. Their lineups differ, so the right assortment depends on the motorcycles and finishes you want to collect.

This comparison lists each complete advertised lineup. It is particularly useful when you already own one set and want to avoid repeating the same motorcycle subject without noticing a change of year or color.

Which series should you examine first?

Starting points based on the listed lineups
Set Why consider it? Exact item
Series 42 You want the XR 1200X or 1999 Heritage Softail Springer 31360-42
Series 43 You want a lineup of listed 2021–2022 bikes 31360-43
Series 44 You want the 1966 Electra Glide alongside newer subjects 31360-44
Series 45 You want the 1952 K Model or 2024 Street Glide 31360-45

Series 42: the complete six-bike lineup

The 31360-42 assortment includes Harley-Davidson Fat Bob 114 in dark green; 2011 XR 1200X in orange and black; 2002 FLTR Road Glide in silver metallic; 2009 FXDFSE CVO Fat Bob in blue metallic; 2013 FLHTK Electra Glide Ultra Limited in brown; and 1999 FLSTS Heritage Softail Springer in red metallic.

The Fat Bob 114 entry does not give a year in the linked list, so this guide does not assign one. Two Fat Bob names in one assortment are also not necessarily duplicate releases: the model designation and finish identify separate entries.

Series 43: a 2021–2022 model-year focus

The 31360-43 assortment includes 2022 Fat Bob 114 in black; 2022 CVO Road Glide in blue metallic; 2022 Sportster Iron 883 in gray and black; 2022 Forty-Eight Special in blue and black; 2021 Pan America 1250 in orange and white; and 2022 Road King Special in dark green metallic.

This is a useful choice when those represented years suit your collection. They describe the motorcycles being modeled, not necessarily the miniature's manufacturing date. A series number is not a calendar year or a quality grade.

Series 44: older and newer Harley subjects together

The 31360-44 assortment includes 1966 FLH Electra Glide in white and blue; 1984 FXST Softail in silver metallic; 2006 Dyna Street Bob in purple; 2022 CVO Road Glide in orange; 2023 Heritage Classic in gold metallic; and 2023 Pan America 1250 Special in matte black.

Compare the orange 2022 CVO Road Glide here with the blue metallic example in Series 43. Someone collecting paint variations may enjoy both; someone seeking only one example of that motorcycle may prefer to spend on a different set.

Series 45: K Model, Night Train and newer touring subjects

Check the complete Series 45 selection before treating it as a replacement for an earlier assortment.

The 31360-45 assortment includes 1952 K Model in red; 2024 Street Glide in orange; 1988 FLT Tour Glide in black; 2024 Heritage Classic in black; 2002 FXSTB Night Train in black; and 2009 FXDFSE CVO Fat Bob in yellow.

The yellow 2009 CVO Fat Bob is a different listed finish from the blue metallic Series 42 entry. Likewise, the 2024 Heritage Classic here and 2023 Heritage Classic in Series 44 should be tracked by both year and finish rather than shortened to “Heritage.”

What the four offers have in common

The linked listings specify six 1:18 motorcycles, metal construction with plastic parts, rubber tires, rolling wheels, steering and suspension features. Their rough per-model dimension estimate is about 5 × 2 × 2.75 inches. Leave room for differing bike shapes rather than selecting six tight compartments from that approximate estimate.

Each offer is the stated set, not a menu from which to choose one bike. No guaranteed chase or investment return is part of this comparison. Check current product prices and package descriptions rather than assuming every set has the same ongoing offer.

How to choose without buying unwanted duplicates

Mark the bikes you already own, then identify the two or three additions you most want. Choose the assortment whose full lineup you will enjoy—not merely the one with a single attractive motorcycle and five unwanted extras.

When one specific larger bike is the goal, compare our 1:12 singles versus 1:18 sets guide instead. A truck-and-bike package is another distinct format for a small garage scene.
