Can everyone view the casting database?

Yes. Casting families, variation information, identification details, collector notes and related releases are public.

What is restricted to members?

Collector values, evidence grades, confidence information, comparable market data and printable PDF Value Engine reports require an active $9.95 monthly membership.

Why does a page say “Pending Market Evidence”?

The engine has not collected enough reliable evidence to publish a defensible value. A pending status is more trustworthy than an invented number.

Value questions

Are the values guaranteed selling prices?

No. Values are estimates based on available market evidence. Actual prices depend on condition, timing, buyer demand, shipping, venue and the accuracy of the identification.

Why are active listings labeled provisional?

An asking price shows what a seller wants, not what a buyer paid. Active-market estimates are useful context but are not represented as verified sold values.

Why can two cars with the same casting name have different values?

The casting name describes the tooling family. The release year, series, color, wheels, tampos, base, package and rarity can create many distinct variations.

How often do values update?

Valuation jobs recalculate variations as qualifying evidence is added. Family summaries are refreshed from their valued variations.

Identification questions

Is the date on the base the release year?

Usually not. It is commonly the tooling copyright year. Use the full set of release attributes and packaging information.

Do custom cars receive factory values?

No. Repaints, wheel swaps, restorations and customs should be identified separately from untouched factory releases.

What should I do if I cannot find my exact variation?

Search the family, compare all known releases, then document the body color, wheels, tampos, interior, windows, base and packaging. Missing or uncertain records should be reviewed before a value is assigned.

Membership and reports

What is included in the PDF?

The report includes identification, value status, range when available, evidence grade, confidence information and a clear disclaimer.

Can I share a PDF report?

You may use reports for your own collector records and ordinary buying or selling discussions. Do not represent them as certified appraisals or remove the report disclaimers.

Does canceling membership remove public access?

No. Public casting information remains available. Member-only values and report generation require an active membership.
