Collectors and dealers may submit documented sale evidence for review. A useful comparable identifies the exact casting and variation, sale date, condition, packaging state, sale price, shipping treatment and source.
Preferred evidence
- Completed transaction or paid invoice
- Clear photos matching the sold item
- Exact variation details
- Separate item price and shipping when possible
- Disclosure of bundles, lots, damage or restoration
Evidence that may be excluded
- Unsold asking prices
- Duplicate listings
- Unverified screenshots
- Lots that cannot be allocated reliably
- Misidentified cars
Submissions are reviewed before they influence a published estimate. Submission does not guarantee inclusion.
Match the comparable before using the price
The best comparable is the closest documented match to the item being researched. Compare variation, condition, package state, sale date and whether the transaction was a single item or part of a lot.
Record the transaction clearly
- Exact item identity
- Sale date
- Item price
- Shipping or buyer premium separately
- Condition and packaging state
- Source evidence and photographs when available
If a lot price cannot be allocated reliably to one car, it should not be treated as a clean single-item comparable.
