- Contents: Check the product listing for the wheel and tire count and whether axles are supplied. Some sets include four wheels and four tires; contents vary.
- Size: Compare outside tire diameter, tire width, usable axle length and the space between the chassis mounts. Measure front and rear separately.
- Fit: Check body and chassis clearance. A shared 1:64 scale or a Hot Wheels/Matchbox label does not guarantee compatibility with every casting.

Hot Wheels tires, wheels and wheel-swap sizing
Listings marked 10 mm / 10 mm or 12 mm / 12 mm use matching front and rear sizes. A 10 mm / 12 mm set is staggered. Larger 13 mm drag-slick listings may need extra clearance. Use the measurements on the exact product rather than choosing by appearance alone.
Buying wheels or tires as a gift?

Questions about choosing wheels and tires
Do I need tires only or a complete wheel set?
Choose tires only when you intend to keep your existing rims and have confirmed that the replacement tires fit them. Choose a set with wheels when you want to change the rim style as well. Check the exact package contents; neither description automatically means axles are included.
What is the difference between matching and staggered sizes?
A 10 mm / 10 mm set uses the same listed size at both ends. A 10 mm / 12 mm set uses different sizes. Measure the front and rear openings separately: a larger rear tire may suit the look you want but still needs enough clearance to turn without rubbing.
Will a 1:64 wheel set fit every Hot Wheels or Matchbox?
No. Compare the actual wheel diameter, tire width, axle length, inner spacing and body clearance. Test the fit before final assembly; a shared scale does not guarantee compatibility.
Are all rubber-tire wheels Mattel Real Riders?
