2010 Hot Wheels Casting List

Collection links may include other years, brands, scales and custom builds. Every collection-linked casting also has a product search. Check the actual listing for the exact version, condition and availability; this checklist is not an inventory or price list.

2010 mainline checklist: #001–240

Showing all 240 entries.

How the 2010 checklist is organized

The mainline reference ends at #240. Its first 44 positions are New Models, followed by 12 Treasure Hunt casting positions at #045–056 and 12 Track Stars at #057–068. Ten ten-car themes occupy #069–168. Race World follows with twelve four-car themes at #169–216, before the 24 Mystery Cars at #217–240.

A number such as “3/10” in the table is the position within the named segment, not a product code or production quantity. Recolors and documented wheel variants stay under their annual position; no extra #241–250 placeholders are added. This scope does not include every separate premium, multipack or promotional assortment.

Race World: keep the theme with the number

The twelve themes are Speedway, Movie Stunts, Beach, City, Underground, Desert, Highway, Battle, Earth, Cave, Volcano and Jungle. Each contains four numbered entries. City at #181–184 contains 5 Alarm, Super Van, Propper Chopper and Armored Truck. Keeping the theme prevents a broad “Race World” label from being mistaken for an exact release identity.

The last 24 entries are Mystery Cars

Mystery Cars begin with Duel Fueler #217 and finish with Aston Martin V8 Vantage #240. Their names can also appear in other years and assortments. A matching casting found loose still needs its decoration, wheels and other visible details compared with the actual 2010 version.

2010 Treasure Hunts and Supers share casting positions

The twelve casting positions at #045–056 have both regular Treasure Hunt and Super versions. Both filters therefore show those same twelve rows. A Super counterpart is not an extra annual number, and the existence of a Super does not make the regular car a Super.

Custom ’53 Cadillac #045

The reference distinguishes the regular pearl-pink version from its Spectraflame-pink Super counterpart, including different wheels. Compare the complete factory combination rather than identifying a chase from “pink Cadillac” alone. Browse Cadillac models with the exact casting and release in mind.

Shelby Cobra Daytona Coupe #049

The regular orange version and the Spectraflame dark-orange Super are separate releases under the same number. The Super reference also specifies Real Rider wheels. A replacement wheel set on a regular example is an aftermarket modification, not proof that the car left the factory as a chase.

Baja Beetle #055

The year reference records matte black with pearl yellow on the regular version and matte black with Spectraflame olive-green areas on the Super, with different wheels. This is not Volkswagen Beetle #004 or Volkswagen Beetle Cup #239. Identify the body first, then the version. Shop Volkswagen models across releases.

Similar names are not duplicate castings

Nissan: the R34 at #007, 2009 Nissan GT-R #093 and the Mystery Cars Nissan Skyline #223 occupy separate positions. The broad Skyline or GT-R name alone is insufficient. Record the actual body, annual number and series before comparing listings in the Nissan collection.

Camaro: Custom ’10 Camaro SS #038, the Chevy Camaro Concept Treasure Hunt pair #054, ’10 Camaro SS #074 and Camaro Convertible Concept #101 remain separate records. A chase designation from #054 must not be applied to another Camaro solely because the name is similar. Explore Camaro models or use the casting-specific searches above.

Twin Mill and Sting Rod: Twin Mill III #057 is different from Twin Mill #212. Sting Rod II #021 is different from Sting Rod #200. The numbered suffix is part of the identity, not optional wording to discard when merging records.

Lamborghini: Reventon Roadster #023 and Reventon #071 are separate entries. Compare the actual roof and body instead of assuming both searches refer to the same release.

Documented packaging and construction differences

Pass’n Gasser #104

The source assigns Pass’n Gasser to HW Performance but notes a card printed with Muscle Mania. This checklist retains its intended annual position and records the discrepancy instead of inventing another entry. A package error and a vehicle-production variation are different kinds of evidence.

’07 Cadillac Escalade #109

The reference includes yellow versions with different body materials. A matching color or annual number does not settle the complete variation. Compare the body, base, wheels and package together, and keep the material distinction in a more detailed collection record.

Faster Than Ever and multipack wheels

The ten-car Faster Than Ever segment occupies #129–138. The source documents multipack wheel versions for several subjects, including Ford Mustang Fastback and Fast Fish. A wheel different from one reference photograph is not automatically a manufacturing error or an aftermarket swap. Compare the relevant release and package context before drawing that conclusion.

Choose the right example for your collection

Record the full casting name, annual position, series, color, decoration, wheel design, interior and base information when available. This page uses segment positions rather than guessing package product codes. A vehicle year in the name is not the assortment year, and the copyright date on a loose car does not by itself identify the exact release.

For a factory chase, compare factory evidence. For a finished custom, read which parts were changed. For a DIY project, check what the particular kit includes and measure the parts you intend to fit. The checklist helps locate subjects; it is not a promise that every year-specific version is stocked or that any wheel kit will fit it.

Buying, condition and customization

For a loose car, compare both sides, roof, wheels and base. Check paint wear, axle alignment, cracked windows, missing components and any signs of opening or repair. For a carded car, inspect the blister, seal, corners and printed identification as well as the car inside. Keep packaging condition separate from vehicle condition when comparing listings.

A casting name containing “Custom” does not by itself mean that an individual car was modified after manufacture. Conversely, an aftermarket paint job or wheel swap does not create a factory chase. Describe restored and modified cars accurately, and compare the exact release before relying on another sale as a value reference.

Custom wheels, rubber tires and upgrade axles are sold separately. Original included components depend on the individual DIY kit listing. A casting link is not a promise that any wheel set fits it. Current carded cars, loose cars and custom cars have different collecting purposes; choose deliberately.

Sources and scope

The sequence, series and selected variation notes follow the South Texas Diecast 2010 reference. The reference ends at #240 and includes 44 New Models. This is a numbered-release checklist, not an exhaustive catalog of every package, color, wheel or separate premium assortment. Historical price columns are not reproduced as current values.

Reference images remain with the linked publishers. No generic picture is presented as proof of an exact release. Hot Wheels is a Mattel trademark; Muncle Mikes is an independent retailer and collector resource.
