2024 Hot Wheels Casting List

New designs and returning castings

The New casting filter marks 50 entries using Orange Track Diecast's 2024 new-model tracker. Among them are Czinger 21C, BMW M3 Wagon, Pagani Utopia and Ford Mustang Dark Horse. A new paint color on an existing casting is not a new casting.

The tracker specifically excludes Bumblebee #186 from its new-model count: it uses the Volkswagen Beetle casting with a retooled base. This distinction is retained rather than inflating the debut count.

A stylized casting can sit in a different series

Mazda RX-3 (Tooned) #156 belongs to HW J-Imports in 2024. Its stylized shape does not move it into the Tooned mini-series. The standard Nissan Skyline 2000GT-R LBWK #191 and Tooned Skyline #213 also remain separate records with separate searches.

For related shopping, browse Mazda diecast models or Nissan diecast models. Check each listing's brand, scale and release; these collections are broader than the 2024 mainline.

Two numbers, two different purposes

On the documented Mazda 787B Super, 145/250 identifies the annual slot and 7/10 identifies its HW Race Day position. Neither is a production quantity. The code HTF39 identifies that Super release; do not assign it to a regular Mazda 787B simply because the name matches. The release reference and photographs show the combination to compare.

Where this checklist provides a code in the chase column, it applies to the marked TH or Super version. It is not a universal code for every color, card or release of that casting.

Similar names do not mean duplicate entries

The '15 Mazda MX-5 Miata #069 and '91 Mazda MX-5 Miata #120 represent different castings. Keep the model-year qualifier in your searches. Likewise, compare Chevy Silverado #207 with '83 Chevy Silverado #249 rather than treating every Silverado as interchangeable.

For another release year, use the 2025 casting and shopping guide or 2026 casting and shopping guide. Their annual collector numbers should not be copied into a 2024 record.

Loose cars: inspect the actual example

Look for chips along paint edges, worn decoration, scratched windows, missing pieces, bent axles and changes around the base fasteners. Loose does not automatically mean mint or unmodified. Use the condition and rolling notes supplied with the listing rather than assuming track performance.

Shop loose Hot Wheels for a display or collection gap. Compare the individual car against your checklist, including its model-year qualifier and whether it is a Tooned version.

Carded cars: check the package separately

Inspect blister cracks, lifting or resealing, creases, softened corners and label residue. Confirm whether the pictures show the exact package being offered or a representative example. A clean car and a damaged card are two separate condition observations.

Browse carded Hot Wheels and Matchbox; both brands appear in that collection, so check the selected listing carefully.

DIY projects: confirm contents and fit

Choose a casting you want to paint or detail, then check the project's actual components, body condition, wheel openings and chassis clearance. Plan the tools and preparation, and test-fit parts before final assembly. Do not assume every wheel or axle is a universal fit.

Start with Build Your Own Hot Wheels DIY kits. Custom wheels, rubber tires and upgrade axles are sold separately. Confirm the original included parts in the individual kit listing, then compare sizes in the wheels and tires collection.

Finished customs: buy the build you see

Compare stance, paint, graphics and the stated modifications on the pictured car. A factory casting can contain “Custom” in its name without being an aftermarket build. Keep the original release and any later modifications recorded separately.

Choose finished Custom Hot Wheels or custom-painted Hot Wheels for modified display cars. Neither is a substitute for verified factory-chase identification.
